AUBURN — Connectivity Point Design and Installation announces that Tim Hooper has been named president of Connectivity Group.

He will oversee all Connectivity Group operations, and will work closely with Tom Aube, who will continue in his role as senior director.

Hooper has been with Connectivity Point Design and Installation since its founding in 2002 and since 2004 has served as vice president of sales and marketing. In 2007 Hooper was instrumental in the development of Connectivity Group, created to act as a sister company to Connectivity Point and to provide low-voltage design and installation services to customers, nationally and internationally.

In his previous position, he drove sales and new business and grew the company from four technicians working out of a garage in Cumberland to more than 40 technicians and support staff.

Connectivity Group, headquartered in New Gloucester, specializes in the design and project management of infrastructure installation for voice, data, video and security applications, as well as audio/visual equipment, sound masking/speech privacy, surveillance and security solutions, wireless networks and equipment deployment, with a focus on national and international facilities.
