ANSWER: Sun Spots checked her Rolodex and found one place within a reasonable drive. Carlson and Turner Antiquarian Books is located at 241 Congress St. in Portland. Their phone number is (207) 773-4200. In addition to having a shop full of antique books, they also offer bookbinding services, repairing books and specializing in conservation of old books. If there is someone more local who offers this service, Sun Spots hopes that he or she will let us all know.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Who can I contact to get girls soccer records for our school? We have a student who broke the scoring record, but we do not have an exact count on her goals. I know that after every game that info is called into the Sun Journal, so they must have a place all those records are kept. Thanks! — Jennifer, No town.

ANSWER: The Sun Journal does not have the capacity to maintain such a records database, but your school’s athletic director or the coach for the record breaker’s team should have that information.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In the paper this morning, I noticed that someone was looking for a nondenominational church. Danville Union Church, located at 1065 Old Danville Road in Auburn, is a very small nondenominational church. There are only 15 to 20 people there on an average Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. While we may be small in number, we are still a very active church with potluck suppers, game nights and a Community Day in June. We are truly a church family, led by Pastor Dodi Knights. We welcome visitors at any time. You would find us a very friendly church. —  G. Ryder, Danville Union Church.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Being that I will be closing in on my 85th birthday this coming October, when and should that day arrive, I will cheer to one factor that should make me feel blessed. That one special gift has been good health. When a person is able to maintain their health, nearly all else in their world can be accomplished depending on the individual’s desire to make it happen. Good health and mindset, such a wonderful pair to have in your corner of life’s ring. Cheers to your own health! Please handle it with care. — David, Dixfield.

ANSWER: Always good advice. Sun Spots wishes you many more healthy, happy days ahead.
