1992 – 2016

PORTLAND — Evan Joseph Richard, 23, of Portland passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 2, in Portland.

He was born on Aug. 1, 1992, in Lebanon, N.H., the son of Jerome and Mary Beth (Harriman) Richard. He attended Grantham Village School, Lebanon Junior High School and graduated from Lebanon High School in 2010.

In the summer of 2013, Evan’s desire for a more active art and music scene led him to Seattle, Wash., where he lived for a year. He returned to the East Coast and settled in Portland, where his passion for art was able to bloom. With the support of his new friends and his family nearby, he was able to start on his greatest endeavor as an artist at Falmouth, with his art/music project. We are so thankful that he will live on through his work.

Evan also loved nature, hiking in the mountains and spending time at the ocean.

He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Mary Richard; his sister, Emma Grace and his brother, Calvin James. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Harriman of Saco; paternal grandparents, Joe and Marjorie Richard of Mexico; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
