AUBURN — Chuck Larkin will speak on “Managing Your Final Affairs” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in the Androscoggin Community Room at the Auburn Public Library.
The presentation is part of the Primetime Adventures series, a partnership between the Lewiston-Auburn Senior College and the Library.
Larkin, an instructor at the Senior College, will serve as a guide to assist with end-of-life arrangements. He will discuss the legal documents everyone should have in place, then cover planning ahead, writing things down and having a conversation with the family about those plans. That will lead into a question-and-answer session guided by participant questions.
Topics include funeral options, home funerals, green cemeteries, alkaline hydrolysis, family burying grounds, scattering ashes and paperwork.
Larkin is a woodworker and home funeral educator whose interest in the topic stems from experiencing his father’s death. He wanted to be part of what happened after the death, but didn’t know what to do, and missed out.
