Season outlook: The Red Eddies ranked No. 2 in the region during the regular season a year ago and return the bulk of the team. EL could have one of the strongest pitching staffs in the state with Plourde, St. Pierre, Jipson, Varney and Blanchard all in the mix. Plourde and St. Pierre were KVAC all-stars in 2015. The Eddies also are strong up the middle. Cox is a proven leadoff hitter, while Varney and Lashua are three-year starters. There is potential for a deep playoff run.
