MEXICO — The new Culinary Arts Program at Region 9 will cater the Rumford Historical Society’s first Spring Tea at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, in the Region 9 cafeteria.
The 21 students in the program must work on two community service projects related to culinary skills.
Students have provided meals or refreshments to representatives from the Maine Department of Education statewide culinary program, and to boards of directors and superintendents from Regional School Unit 10, School Administrative District 44 and Andover.
Tickets to the Spring Tea cost $10 each and are available until April 22 at Bartash’s in Rumford, Region 9 in Mexico or by calling Janice Irish at 207-364-8303.
