CASCO — A Harrison man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a collision on Route 302.

Police said 29-year-old Adam Perron was dead at the scene after his car slammed into a box truck that had swerved in front of him shortly after 1 p.m.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Joshua McNally, 31, of Westbrook had been driving east on Route 302 when he swerved into the westbound lane where his Isuzu truck struck Perron’s Pontiac Vibe on the driver’s side.

McNally’s vehicle rolled down a small embankment before rolling onto its side, police said. McNally was ejected from the truck and pinned beneath it.

Rescue crews from Raymond, Naples and Casco responded to the wreck. Perron was dead upon arrival, police said. McNally was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with injuries described as serious.

McNally had been driving the truck for Native Maine Produce and Specialty Foods of Westbrook.

The Sheriff’s Office was investigating the cause of the wreck with assistance from the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit.
