In Maine, the blue light specials will go on.
Sears announced Thursday that it is closing 10 of its stores and 68 Kmarts across the country, but none of those closures are scheduled for Maine.
The closures are set to begin in July. The closest closure is a Kmart in Tewksbury, Mass.
The Twin Cities lost its Sears in 2013 when that anchor store closed in the Lewiston Mall. A 5,000-square-foot Sears Hometown Store opened in the Auburn Plaza later that same year.
