NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has announced its May activities, which take place at 199 Main St. in Stephens Memorial Hospital Clinic building unless noted otherwise.
Events are free to those impacted by cancer.
Drop-in hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers are available for support with comfort items including port protectors, pillows, wigs and bonnets. They are also available to help find resources.
Information is available in brochures or by using the lending library.
The center is also a place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, chat with a volunteer or take time for oneself by participating in activities offered by the center.
May activities include:
Coloring for Adults: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays.
Cards and Games: 1 to 3 p.m. Fridays.
Women’s Cancer Support Group: Noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3. FMI: 207-744-6173.
Stamping Up with Kathy: 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5.
Community Cancer Cut & Sew: 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, May 11 and 25 at Sew Orchid Design, 316 Main St.
Knitting and Crocheting: 10:30 to 11:30 p.m. Thursdays, May 12 and 19.
Bird Walk with Mary: 7:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Roberts Preserve on Roberts Road. The event takes place rain or shine, and participants can meet in the parking lot.
Beading Project with Sherrie: 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19.
