‘Covenants We Enter into’
PARIS – The Sunday, April 24, worship service at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street will be led by Silver Moore-Leamon.
The title of the 10 a.m. sermon is “Covenants We Enter into.” Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd.
Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service and all are welcome. Childcare is available, and the church is wheelchair accessible. The First Universalist Church celebrates and welcomes all beliefs.
UMC to host bean supper
AUBURN — The United Methodist Church will host a bean and casserole supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
Cost of admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.
Lifetree to examine demons, exorcisms
LEWISTON — Demons, exorcism and the existence of the devil will be examined at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at Lifetree Café, 1919 Lisbon Road.
The program, “Is the Devil Real: An Exorcist Tells All,” features interviews with people who claim to have had encounters with demons, including a clergyman who has conducted many exorcisms, the removal of demonic spirits.
“Satan is one who takes advantage of vulnerable people,” the clergyman says. “He’ll use any opening he finds in people to pollute, contaminate, tarnish and destroy them.”
Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.

Congregational Church birthday supper
ANDOVER — The Congregational Church will host the annual Birthday Supper Saturday, April 30. There will be two sittings at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The menu is meatloaf, baked potatoes, string beans, salads, rolls and birthday cakes. The charge is $8 per person and $4 for children younger than 10.
The birthday supper has been a happening in Andover for more than 60 years. There is a table decorated for each month with a cake for each table.
Knowing Him concert April 30
LEWISTON — Matthew Farley & Friends will present a gospel concert, Knowing Him, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St.
The event is free and open to the public.

NAMI’s ‘Bridge’s of Hope’
RUMFORD — NAMI Maine and its Western Mountains affiliate will present NAMI’s FaithNet “Bridges of Hope” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at the Rumford Point Congregational Church on Route 2.
Participants will learn how to help create stronger safety nets and open, welcoming faith communities of hope for people living with mental illness and their families.
The program is free, and all are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided.
