1941 – 2016

LIVERMORE FALLS — Celia E. Wahl, 74, a resident of Livermore Falls passed away early Monday morning, April 25, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Jay, the daughter of Clyde and Sylvia (Whitham) Cook. She was a 1959 graduate from Jay High School and received her associate degree at the Waterville Hospital School of nursing in 1961.

Celia worked as an LPN at Pomeroy Hill Nursing Home and retired from Victorian Villa in 2004. She enjoyed crocheting and doing puzzles. Celia was a loving and devoted mother. She raised her four daughters by herself, always showing strong work ethics to make sure they were provided for.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Fisher of Livermore Falls, Lisa Fisher of Farmington, Susan Fisher and her companion, Travis A. Cook ,of Jay, Misty Dolloff and her husband, Jason, of Jay; stepdaughter, Melanie Ladd; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her brother, Steve Cook and his wife, Hope, of Lake Wales, Fla.; sisters, Faye Hewett and her husband, Donald, of Vermont, Betty Levesque of North Carolina, Linda Kimball and her husband, Basil, of Canton; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Cook of Farmington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Dennis, Burchard and Dale Cook; and her sisters; Ardena Pomeroy, Marion Goding and Claudia Cook.
