1935 – 2016
LEWISTON — Emmanuel Alexander Cote, 80, a resident of Sabattus passed away Saturday evening, April 23, at the Marshwood Health Care Facility following a long battle with cancer
He was born in Lewiston, Sept. 19, 1935, the son of Emmanuel and Malvina (Lizotte) Cote.
Following graduation from Sabattus Schools, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served two years active duty in Vietnam during his 20 year air force career. He returned to Lewiston after his military service working for Hillcrest Foods as well as for Jones & Vining retiring in 1999.
After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Michael A. Cote, who followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and now serves in the U.S. Air Force at Holliman Air Force Base in New Mexico and is currently deployed in Afghanistan.
Survivors include his two sons, Michael Cote and Steve Cote; as well as many brothers and sisters.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the CNA’s and nurses at Marshwood for the loving care they gave our dad.
