SeniorsPlus has announced that a Savvy Caregiver 1 training is scheduled for Oxford and Franklin counties.

The training is geared toward caregivers assisting those with dementia. It will teach participants how to take care of themselves, reduce stress and communicate more easily with the person.

This is a six-week workshop with each session lasting two hours. It is free, but registration is required.

Franklin County: 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, May 31 to July 5, at the SeniorsPlus Farmington office, 218 Fairbanks Road, Farmington.

Oxford County: 2 to 4 p.m. Fridays, June 3 to July 8, at the Department of Health and Human Services, 243 Main St., Suite 6, Paris.
