1920 – 2016

LEWISTON — Simone O. Roy Lauze, 96, of Lewiston, died Friday, April 22, at home following a long illness.

She was born in Northern Maine on Jan. 22, 1920, the daughter of Amie and Lucinda Roy. She enjoyed going to ceramics, gardening and traveling. She worked all of her life in the Lewiston-Auburn area.

She was predeceased by her father and mother; daughter, Geraldine Lauze; and three brothers, Alex, Leo and Noel Roy.

She is survived by her children, Damien Giguere of Kissimmee, Fla., Roger Giguere of Lewiston, Lucien Giguere of Lisbon Falls, Brenda Lauze of Auburn, Rol Coty of Greene, Gerard Lauze of Lewiston, and Jean Kobeckis of Mechanic Falls; several grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
