SABATTUS — Town Manager Tony Ward announced to selectmen Tuesday night that the section of Pleasant Hill Road under reconstruction will be closed for at least six weeks.

The integrity of the road is not as safe as previously thought, Ward said, and the construction company thinks closure is the safest option. Access to the ball field and the transfer station will still be available.

Board of Selectmen Chairman Mark Duquette requested the gateway to the transfer station be enlarged to allow two-way traffic. Ward will investigate and hopes to have a resolution in a few days.

Two foreclosed properties will be put up for bid: 65 Depot St., with a minimum bid of $4,400; and 0 Emily Drive, with a minimum bid of $2,823.

Bids will be reviewed and a decision made by the board at 6:30 p.m. June 7 at the Town Office.

For more information on the properties, go to sabattus.org.

The board unanimously approved granting the new owner of Mixers Night Club & Lounge a liquor license and a special amusement permit. The license renewal will be forwarded to the state for review.

The board approved and signed the Regional School Unit 4 warrant.
