Grace Lutheran Church was founded in 1916 by German immigrants who settled in Lewiston. They built a stone church at 336 Main St. in Lewiston next to Central Maine Medical Center. The hospital eventually purchased the church property once a new church was built in Auburn in 1973.
Ministers over the years included Bernard Jansen, Edgar Fehlau, Lowell Timm, Ron Klose, Steven Kenney, and the present pastor, Marian Marks.
