1933 – 2016

LEWISTON — Jeannette M. Madore, 83, a resident of East Ridge Road, Sabattus passed away peacefully Saturday, May 7, at Central Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Fort Kent, March 2, 1933, the daughter of Arthur and Amanda (St. Onge) Soucy.

Jeannette was a devoted mother and homemaker who loved and cared for her family. She was also proud of attaining her G.E.D. after raising ten children.

Following the passing of her husband, Gerard, in 1958, she was the longtime companion of Normand St. Amand and together, she helped to raise his children.

Survivors include two sons, Nelson Madore and wife, Micheline, and Roland Madore and wife, Diane; two daughters, Marie Therese Lamare and husband, Fern, and Pauline Nadeau and husband, Raymond; one sister, Rosaline Babin, her companion, Normand St, Amand, and his children Marie Nelson and Michael St. Amand and wife, Theresa. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Gerard, she was predeceased by one sister, Florence; one brother, Richard; and three sons, Wilmer, Elmer and Normand.
