LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Lions Club will host a presentation on ranked-choice voting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant on Main Street.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Guests may order from the restaurant if they wish but are not required to.

Finn Melanson of FairVote Maine will give an overview of the system, focusing on how it works, how it compares to the current system of voting, where it’s currently used across the country and how voters have responded to its implementation. There will be a Q&A.

FairVote Maine is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving democracy through public education on a variety of issues.
