NEW VINEYARD — Grandparents and their grandson are accused of holding an underage drinking party Saturday night at 230 Barker Road.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received information about an underage drinking party at about 10 p.m. Saturday and deputies went to investigate, according to Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.

Cpl. Kevin Hartley and Deputies Sandy Burke and Derrick Doucette investigated and identified several underage people drinking alcohol.

David Jones, 71, his wife, Theresa Jones, 59, and their grandson, Dalton Ellis, 19, all of New Vineyard, were arrested early Sunday on one misdemeanor charge each of furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol, Nichols said.

A conviction on the charge is punishable by up to 364 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.

David and Theresa Jones were each released on $5,000 cash bail later Sunday.

Ellis was released on $2,500 cash bail the same day.

All three are scheduled to appear in a Farmington court on June 28.
