LEWISTON — Practical ways to prevent methamphetamine use will be examined at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Lifetree Café, South Lewiston Baptist Church, 1919 Lisbon Road.

The program, “Meth: Stories of Horror and Hope,” features a filmed interview with Cindy Gray, a woman who lost a son due to meth use.

“The minute my son tried it, that was the end,” Gray says. “He eventually had to go to using a needle to get that next high.”

The program also features a filmed interview with a young man who became addicted to meth but found hope and escaped his addiction.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.
