AUBURN — City Council workshop at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of Auburn Hall. Agenda includes budget requests from the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport, Lewiston-Auburn Transit Committee and Lewiston-Auburn 911, followed by general budget discussions.

LEWISTON — Planning Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Administrator’s Conference room on the bottom floor of City Hall.

LEWISTON — School Committee regular meeting, 6:45 p.m. at Dingley building. Agenda includes formulating a budget for a June 14 referendum and a report on Kelly Educational Staffing. Workshop at 5:30 p.m. is discussion on Star Academy and high school dean of students.

TUESDAY, May 24

LEWISTON — Special City Council workshop, 6 p.m. in the City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of City Hall.

LEWISTON — “Dream On” documentary premiere, 6:30 p.m.; networking at 6 p.m., The Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St. Movie features political comedian John Fugelsang speaking with fast-food workers, retirees, prisons and entrepreneurs, undocumented immigrants and community organizers about hopes, dreams and daily struggles. Sponsored by Community Concepts.

WEDNESDAY, May 25

AUBURN — Coffee with a Cop from 9-11 a.m. at Rolly’s Diner, 87 Mill St. There is no agenda, just an opportunity to meet and chat with an Auburn police officer.

AUBURN — Culture Night at Edward Little High School gym, 5:30-8:30 p.m., sponsored by Muslim Student Association at the high school. Students will share about their culture with fashion, demonstration and readings. Public invited.

THURSDAY, May 26

LEWISTON — Strength training and balance for seniors, 2 p.m., Lewiston Public Library. Exercises to build strength will be presented by physical therapist Mike Lachance, an explanation given on the effects of aging on strength, loss of balance and quality of life. Sponsored by the library and Senior College at University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College. Open to the public.

SATURDAY, May 28

The Twin Cities Memorial Day parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. in Lewiston’s Kennedy Park, winds its way to Great Falls Plaza in Auburn and ends at Veterans Memorial Park at Lincoln and Main streets in Lewiston. A ceremony is set for 10:30 a.m. to unveil a name stone and a ribbon-cutting for the Gold Star Mothers walkway.
