JAY — Two people were injured Monday afternoon when their vehicles collided on Route 4 on Jay Hill.
Daniel Abbatello, 19, of Paris was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze south on Route 4 when a 2010 Buick LaCrosse driven north by Helen Pomerleau, 42, of Jay, attempted to make a left turn into Hilltop Collision Center and failed to yield to Abbatello’s car, Detective Michael Mejia said.
Abbatello and Pomerleau received minor injuries, he said. They were taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
Both were wearing seat belts when the 3:14 p.m. accident occurred, Mejia said.
Air bags deployed. The vehicles were heavily damaged.
