FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police and Farmington Fire & Rescue are putting on a community fund raising barbecue on May 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Farmington Municipal Building at 153 Farmington Falls Road.

The event is being sponsored in part by Walmart, with assistance from the Farmington American Legion. All proceeds and donations will be sent to and benefit the Lone Survivor Foundation.

For a donation, people can purchase one hamburger, one hot dog, one bag of chips, and one can of soda. There will also be a performance by local country artist Mark Gentle.
