I am so dismayed at the constant barrage of negativity toward Hillary Clinton in the national press and, especially, by members (or so-called members) of the Democratic Party. They are saying that she has no original thoughts, that she’s uninspiring, that she’s not exciting, not electrifying.

What if this war-torn country, torn from inside and out, didn’t need another inspirational leader right now? What if it didn’t need a savior? What if the great promise of every great speech-maker and promise-maker of a rosy new world hadn’t imploded when actually having to deal with the messy world we live in.

I think that what this country needs right now is a mature, intelligent, experienced and serious person who has been through the political wars and has come out on the other side with a sense of courage, confidence and belief in her ability to deal with the mess that has been made.

Clinton is a woman who has always desired to do whatever she could for her country. Why else would she still have the courage and drive to face the maligning? She didn’t even become wealthy until she wrote a book and gave some speeches.

Hillary Clinton is what this nation needs right now because it doesn’t need new ideas. It needs someone to start to fix the mess incumbents have made. She knows what needs doing better than any of the brilliant minds who have brought this country to this place in time.
