I’m saddened that Rep. Peggy Rotundo is termed out. She has been an incredibly conscientious and devoted public servant, and I thank her.
Now we must move on.
After meeting Roger Fuller, a Democratic candidate for District 59, I recognize his life experiences will make him an excellent legislator in Augusta.
His leadership in education and administration for 42 years, plus his outlook on life, is refreshing. He has said that every experience, good or bad, is an opportunity to learn. He understands his good fortune in life and is committed to pay it forward, helping others.
His belief in the four E’s is right on — equity means fairness and balance; education is lifelong learning; employment must have living and sustainable wages; and environment means protecting water, air, land and natural resources for future generations.
I will support Roger Fuller on June 14. He will work for the common good of all.
