Two chances for water kefir class
BETHEL — School Administrative District 44 will offer two upcoming courses on making water kefir.
Instructor Tanya Quaterman will instruct the classes at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, or at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16. Cost is $20.
Water kefir is a probiotic drink where a natural carbonation occurs through the fermentation process, making it a substitute for sodas and colas. Flavors include ginger ale, blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, apple and kiwi. Kefir grains are included with the class cost, so attendees can begin making their own water kefir immediately.
