PARIS — Nearly 100 singers from across the country have registered for Viking Choir reunion rehearsals on Friday and Saturday, June 17 and 18.

The concert is at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 18, in the Mark Eastman Auditorium at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Whether they are in their 60s or teens, they’re coming back to OHCHS to sing again in the Viking Choir, said Cynthia Wescott, director of the original Viking choral groups.

Guest conductors, narrators, soloists and ensembles, including the Vikettes and Viking Voices, will fill the auditorium with exciting, expressive, upbeat and sentimental tunes selected from the past 50 years of repertoire.

“Many of the participants have been very active performers and even professionals through the years, while together have not sung since high school,” said Wescott.

Participants will be treated to a meet, greet and eat Friday night and Saturday morning. At noon on Saturday, there will be a potluck lunch. Performers will be responsible for dinner.
