What has happened to this country and the education of the young people? I have my own theory, and I have watched many things happen through the past 20 years. It is called the dumbing down of American school children.
Planned or unplanned, it has happened.
The youth of today don’t seem to have any idea of how government works or even who the president is. A course in civics doesn’t seem to be available; world history is a joke.
The schools are so fearful of offending anyone that the flag is no longer honored. God is not allowed in school. Children are brainwashed to vote only in terms of what the government will do for them, i.e., Bernie Sanders and his free everything.
I blame that on the liberal teachers, liberal school systems, liberal professors at college and the liberal news media.
Liberals are destroying the very fabric of this country, and people are letting it happen.
I remember saluting the flag, praying in school, civics class and listening to a veteran talk about the attack on Pearl Harbor. I remember getting gold stars for excelling in class.
How many of those things are allowed in schools now?
What a shame.
