1925 – 2016

NORTH PORT, Fla. — Lucianna Guerrette, 90, of 2851 Alesio Ave., North Port, Fla., died peacefully Monday, June 13, at her home with her daughter, Elaine and son-in-law, Bob, by her side.

Born in Saint-Ludger, Quebec, on Dec. 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Charles and Josephine Morin Baillargeon. Educated locally, she was a graduate of St. Dominic High School. On April 26, 1947, she married Aurel J. Guerrette. He passed away on Feb. 28, 2000. Lucy was formerly a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Family Church. She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Merchant De Bonheur, Jacques Cartier Club and a volunteer at Marcotte Nursing Home for several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Joan and husband, Claude Gauthier, of Lewiston, and Elaine and husband, Bob Tompkins, of North Port, Fla.; a sister, Simone MacKenzie of Sidney; two grandchildren, Jim Gauthier and wife, Donna, and Kim Karlis and husband, Jim; and four great-grandchildren, Colton Bouthiller, and Emma, Ella and Evan Karlis.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Sean Minnehan; four brothers, Henry Baillargeon, Jack Baillargeon, Gerome Baillargeon and Cyrille Baillergeron; five sisters, Marguerite Thibodeau, Emma Pelletier, Noella Kirouac, Lea Lacasse and Marianna Dutil.
