Ocean Commotion Vacation Bible school

JAY — Bean’s Corner Baptist Church will hold Ocean Commotion, a Vacation Bible School based on the life of Noah, from Monday through Friday, June 20 to 24.

Sessions will run from 9 to 11:45 a.m. each day. There will be a closing program and lunch beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday.

During the program, children will participate in lively songs, crafts and games. Bible lessons will center around Noah and the flood.

Classes will be held for children ages 4 through grade six. The program is free.

Trio from Crown College performing

AUBURN — Faith Baptist Church will host a men’s trio from the Crown College of the Bible at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at 43 Washington St. North.

The trio will perform a gospel music concert.

Dr. Robert Crickton, New England representative and Bible teacher for the college, will be guest speaker.

Silver & Gold Anniversary Mass

AUGUSTA — Couples celebrating milestone anniversaries will receive a special blessing from Bishop Robert P. Deeley at the Silver & Gold Anniversary Mass at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at St. Augustine Church, 1 Kendall St.

All are invited to attend, but the Mass is especially intended for those celebrating milestone anniversaries such as their fifth, 10th, 15th, 20th or beyond.

In 2015, 36 couples ranging in anniversaries from five to 65 years participated in the Mass.

Mass celebrates World Refugee Day

PORTLAND — Bishop Robert P. Deeley and the Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Parish community will celebrate World Refugee Day during the 10:30 a.m. Mass Sunday, June 26, at Sacred Heart Church.

The church is on the corner of Sherman and Mellen streets in Portland. All are welcome.

Prayer initiative ongoing

South East Asia Prayer Center has launched a prayer initiative through July 25 to pray in and for the countries of North, Central and South America.

In North America, groups will assemble to pray at college and university campuses in every state across the U.S.
