AUBURN — The Maine Chapter of the American Society of Professional Estimators awarded $500 scholarships to two students in the Building Construction Technology program at Central Maine Community College.

The scholarships were presented to Brittany Dumaine of Turner and Nathanial Bulgajewski of Norway at a recent meeting of the Chapter.

The meeting began with a site visit to Cote Crane and Rigging and continued with dinner at a local restaurant.

The BCT program at CMCC prepares students for successful employment in construction-related fields. Through a combination of classroom study, mock-ups, and live projects, students obtain hands-on experience and become broadly familiar with methods, standards, and codes commonly associated with the construction industry.

The program offers students the opportunity to earn a certificate or an associate in applied science degree.
