GRAY — Animal lovers will have the opportunity to see wildlife at the Maine Wildlife Park be fed their daily meals throughout the day on Saturday, July 2, on Route 26.
The animals are fed a natural diet that is as close to what each species would eat in the wild as possible.
Visitors may watch the feedings at the of:
• garter and water snakes, 10 a.m. (this event will be held in the Visitor Center);
• bear, 11 a.m.;
• eagles, noon;
• small mammals, 1 p.m.;
• fawns, 2 p.m.;
• lynx, bobcat and cougar, 3 p.m.;
• and moose, 4 p.m.
The park does allow feeding the appropriate food throughout the day for deer, ground birds, bears and hatchery brook trout from feed machines.
