DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 2.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Cost is $6.50 per person.
Bag lunches with a lobster roll or chicken salad will be for sale. Cost is $9 for lobster or $7 for chicken. Drinks are $1.
Strawberry shortcake will be for sale at $2 per piece
There will be raffles, baked goods and a secondhand table along with freshly picked strawberries for sale.

LOCKE MILLS — American Legion Jackson-Silver Post 68 will hold a chicken barbecue fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at 595 Gore Road.
Admission: $10 for adults; $4 for children 10 and younger.

LOCKE MILLS — The Locke Mills Union Church Strawberry Festival is set for Saturday, July 2, at the church.
Available will be Belgian waffles, strawberries, pies, trinkets and treasures from 7:30 a.m. to noon or until items are sold out.

FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve up strawberry shortcake from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 4, at the Pierce House, 208 Main St.
Strawberries will be picked that morning by church volunteers at David and Verna Pike’s farm on Whittier Road.
Historically, volunteer pickers gather in the morning and harvest more than 100 pounds of strawberries and transport them to the Old South kitchen. There, volunteers wash, hull and mash the strawberries, adding just the right amount of sugar.
Admission: $4 per serving.

WATERFORD — The kickoff for the 63rd year of Waterford Summer Breakfasts is set from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Monday, July 4, at the Wilkins House.
Breakfasts will continue every other Wednesday on July 13, 27 and Aug. 10.
A yard sale will take place at the same time in the basement of the house.
Admission: $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 10; free for children.

FREEPORT — An all-you-can-eat Fourth of July pancake breakfast will take place from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday, July 4, at St. Jude Church on Main and School streets.
