LEWISTON — The Breathe Easy Coalition of Maine has awarded Healthy Androscoggin its 2016 Smoke-Free Environments Champion Award.

The Coalition has presented the award annually since 2009 to an organization, committee/work group, or individual who has been a leader in adopting smoke-free policies in hospitals, colleges, multi-unit housing or behavioral health settings.

The Coalition applauded ongoing efforts by Healthy Androscoggin to stay vigilant on addressing tobacco use, often with creative partners and solutions, to reach evidence-based public health goals.
