RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Marjorie R. Brown of Rumford was celebrated at noon Monday, June 27, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube as celebrant. Altar assistant was Mr. Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mr. Mark Belanger. The first reading from the book of the Prophet Daniel from the Old Testament was proclaimed by her friend, Robert Grieshaber. The second reading from the Letter of Paul to the Romans from the New Testament was proclaimed by her friend, Robert Grieshaber. The gifts were presented by her son and his wife, Darryl and Sharon Brown. The eulogy was given by her neighbor and friend, Terri Palmer. Music selections included “Be Not Afraid,” “How Great Thou Art,” “On Eagle’s Wings” and “Shepherd Me, Oh God.” Pallbearers were Darryl Brown, Daniel Brown, Glenn Brown, Bill Brown, Matthew Palmer and Bob Grieshaber. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Greg Dube. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
