Minot yard sale, silent auction
MINOT — Minot Historical Society will hold a yard sale and silent auction from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9, at 493 Center Minot Hill Road.
The event will be held rain or shine.
Attendees will have the chance to win Hester Gilpatric’s famous doughnuts. Hot dogs will be for sale.
Raptors up close at MWP
GRAY — Staff from Wind Over Wings, a local raptor education center, will present from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Maine Wildlife Park, Route 26.
Wind Over Wings was founded by Hope Douglas about 20 years ago and recently relocated from Connecticut to central Maine. The organization’s goal is to provide audiences with close-up opportunities to see and learn more about feathered predators.
Featured birds will include a colorful American kestrel, a diminutive eastern screech owl, a bold great-horned owl and a red-tailed hawk. Attendees will learn how each of these bird species are faring overall as populations in Maine.

SLCOA annual meeting
ROXBURY — The Silver Lake Camp Owners Association annual meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at St. Mary’s Chapel.
The event follows the Roxbury Pond Public Pancake Breakfast.
Farm and Home Museum open
WILTON — Wilton Historical Society’s Wilton Farm and Home Museum, 10 Canal St., will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays in July and August.
The museum is also open for tours by appointment by contacting 207-645-2091.
The museum contains photographs and negatives from 1997 to 2014 from Luce Studios in Farmington. Local families pictured may print the images, according to a news release.
Admission to the museum is by donation.
