WALES — Lakeside Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will have its annual official visit with Associate Grand Matron Lucille A. Nanos. at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the Grange-Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road.
The worthy matron, secretary and conductresses are reminded to be at the Hall by 6 p.m. for the review of the books, balloting and altar etiquette. All secret work and rituals belonging to the chapter need to be present, as well as the CR&R for the worthy matron, worthy patron and secretary.
Refreshments will be provided after the meeting on Tuesday.
Female officers are asked to wear long gowns. Male officers should dress in black suits or tuxedos.
At the June meeting, Secretary Violet Gerber was installed for the ensuing year by Brett Jervis, as installing grand officer; Corley Anne Byras, past grand matron, as installing marshal; and Eleanor V. Peterson, DDGM, as the installing organist. That completed the corps of 18 officers.
The next meeting will be on Aug. 9, when the chapter will honor the past matrons and past patrons. The shared Eastern Star Award for Religious Leadership supper will be held at 6 p.m.
