BERLIN, Mass. — Daniel N. Le Blanc, 63, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 10. He was a devoted husband, father and loving grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Maureen Johnson, he leaves his children; and grandchildren, Carolyn Brodeur and her husband, Jeff, of Fredricksburg, Va., their son, Elliot, Chris Le Blanc and his wife, Melissa, of Morristown, Vt., and their children, Noble and Charlotte Beerworth, and Nathan Le Blanc of Fitchburg; his stepchildren, Dr. Edmond Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., Lauren Johnson of Boston, Mass., and Danielle Johnson of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Ronald Le Blanc of Augusta and Michael Le Blanc and his wife, Jeanne, of Shirley, Mass.; a sister, Louise Beaulieu and her husband, David, of Ocean Park; and many friends, and relatives.

Dan was predeceased by his parents, Robert R. and Marielle (Bureau) Leblanc; and his lifelong friend, Ted Curran, who passed away last August.

Born and raised in Lewiston, he had been a resident of Massachusetts for more than 40 years.

Trained as an electrical engineer, Dan worked at Digital Equipment Corp., Compaq, and most recently, as a project manager at Waters Corp. After retiring in May of this year, he was looking forward to travel and pursuing his many hobbies, to which he recently added extending the rail trails of Massachusetts.

Dan had a passion for his family, travel and adventure. He loved family reunions, tracking genealogy and being connected with his many relatives. He also enjoyed trips to both new and familiar places. A great day was one that started at daybreak and ended late after an adventure to a favorite old haunt or a new experience. He was an avid bicyclist, kayaker and hiker. Since retiring, he pursued these activities with intensity.
