Other programs include:

• Suicide Awareness and Prevention;

• Speakers’ Bureau, speakers who have lived with mental illness; and

• School offerings, such as “Helping Friends, Helping Yourself” which was presented at Mountain Valley Middle School this spring.

NAMI welcomes the public’s thoughts and suggestions.

NAMI will offer another Family to Family course in the South Paris area, which is slated to begin Thursday, Sept. 1. This date may be subject to change.

Education classes will need to start early in the fall; those wishing to make a suggestion or attend a class must do so as soon as possible so NAMI will know there is enough interest. Classes may be offered in Farmington if there is enough interest.

When contacting NAMI, those interested should indicate the class they’d like to take, as well as the time and location preferred. NAMI also welcomes suggestions for new classes that are not currently being offered.
