RANGELEY — Chef Steve True has returned to The Gingerbread House in Oquossoc after serving 13 years as executive chef at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport.
His weekly specialties at The Gingerbread House will include a seafood buffet on Tuesdays and pasta night on Wednesdays.
During his years as head chef, he enhanced his culinary skills and was awarded the Maine Restaurant Association’s coveted 2014 Chef of the Year award. In Kennebunkport, he cooked for former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, capped off with a wedding for one of the younger generation of Bushes.
True cooked at The Gingerbread House from 1998 to 2001.
