JAY — Police are investigating the theft of money from the town Transfer Station on Route 4.
As soon as employees realized the money was missing Wednesday morning, they reported it to their supervisor who reported it to police, officer Dylan Rider said Thursday.
The amount is less than $200, he said. It’s believed it was taken from the office area between Saturday and Wednesday.
The station is closed Sundays and Mondays.
