1938 – 2016

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Joseph Tucci, 78, of Homosassa, Fla., passed away Friday, July 22, at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Fla.

He was born June 23, 1938, to Antonio and Mary Tucci in Hackensack, N.J., and came here 23 years ago from Milford, Mass. He was of the Christian faith.

He was a master carpenter and was the head of the maintenance department for Pasco Hernando Community College. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to travel and spend time visiting with family. He loved cooking for friends and family and sharing his creations.

Joseph was a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was considered an old-timer by his friends there, many of which were glad to have been helped by his presence.

He used his many carpentry skills to complete many home refurbishments, turning them into works of art. He was a history buff and a great storyteller.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gloria Tucci; his children, Loretta Tucci, Tony Tucci and wife, Christine, Joan McDonald and husband, Blaine, Donna Poulin and husband, Daniel, Joseph Tucci and wife, Jennifer; brothers, Michael Tucci and wife, Nancy, Anthony Tucci; sisters, Joyce Hertz and husband, Richard and Joan Park; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
