AUBURN — Café LA will host its first Ladies Comic Showcase at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at 49 Spring St.
Host is Angela Merrill of Maine Street Comedy.
Mandy Appleton, Noreen Lacoy, Catherine Goding and Casey Sturgeon will get the laughs started.
Krystal Kamenides and Ali Simpson, both recent performers in the Portland Comedy Festival, will keep the show moving.
Dawn Hartill, the 2016 Strand Cup Comedy winner and quarter-finalist in The Couch Summer Comedy Classic competition, will be the feature comic before headliner Cindi Brown takes the stage.
Brown, host of Westbrook’s First Ladies Showcase at LIVE at 212, will close out the show with her unique brand of humor that is smart, blunt, a little dark and served up with a lot of edgy attitude.
There will be an open mic after for those interested.
The event is free, and food and drink specials will be available.
