SANDY RIVER PLANTATION — A Brewer woman was seriously injured Tuesday evening when she missed a corner on Route 4 and her motorcycle left the road and struck several rocks.
Brianna Lynch, 35, was driving a 2009 Harley-Davidson south about 8 p.m. when she missed the curve near the Appalachian Trail crossing, according to Maine State Police Sgt. Matt Casavant.
Lynch was taken to Phillips by a NorthStar ambulance to meet a medical helicopter. She was flown by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with serious injuries, he said.
Lynch was traveling with another biker at the time, he said.
The motorcycle was demolished.
State Police Trooper Jillian Monahan was assisted at the scene by Casavant and members of the Rangeley Fire Department.
