A Remembrance Service for MollyOckett, the well-known Native American healer and herbalist, will take place Sunday, Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Route 5 in Andover. This year is the 200th anniversary of her death.
The speaker will be Cathy Newell of Greenwood. Executive Director Randy Bennett of the Bethel Historical Society will also participate.
Chairs will be provided for anyone needed seating.
In addition to the service, a MollyOckett quilt created by Donna Gillies of Bethel will be on display at the Andover Historical Society from 2-4 p.m.
The service is organized by the Cabot Lodge Knights of Pythias.
