1928 – 2016

AUBURN — Nathalie Noreen “Nat” Jordan, 88, of Wilton went to be with her husband “Shine” on Wednesday, Aug. 3, peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Born in North Jay on March 12, 1928, to John and Mildred Swett, she was the fourth of five children. A graduate of Jay High School, Class of 1946, she met and married Orlando “Shine” Jordan, her husband of 67 years. Together they made their home in Wilton, where they raised their two children, Michael and Bonnie Meunier. Nathalie went to work for G.H. Bass & Co. as a stitcher and retired in 1990 in a clerical position. As a member of the United Methodist Church, she was active with the WCWS, a youth fellowship leader and choir member with her husband. She also served on the Wilton Food Pantry. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing, fishing, bowling, gardening, camping and music.

Nathalie is survived by two brothers, Glendon and Durwood; her son, Michael and his wife, Claudette, of Auburn; her daughter, Bonnie Meunier of Wilton; six grandchildren, Carrie Meunier, Amy Roberts, Adam Jordan, Tammy Chamberland, Amy Nadeau and her husband, Paul, Melissa Lebrun and her husband, Shawn; and 10 great-grandchildren, Elijah Luciano, Jack Jordan, Cleo Roberts, Brayden and Riley Deraps, Paul, Colby and Paige Nadeau, Tommy Murphy and Dakota Lebrun.

She is predeceased by her brother, Lawriston; sister, Roberta; and husband, Orlando.
