The Maine Sports Hall of Fame invites players to take part in its third annual golf classic Monday, Sept. 19, at Sable Oaks Golf Club in South Portland.
Registration for the 18-hole scramble is at noon and play begins at 1 p.m. The entry fee of $125 per person/$400 per foursome includes golf carts, a barbecue lunch and prizes. A cocktail reception follows.
Sponsorship opportunities also are available and funds raised will go toward Maine Sports Hall of Fame functions, including honoring the state’s most outstanding sportspeople and awarding scholarships to exceptional graduating high school student-athletes.
