I heartily support Jim Handy to represent District 58 in the Maine House of Representatives.

Residents should have such a person working to make a difference in this community and state.

For years Handy has brought his welcoming, wise and upbeat presence to community issues that matter. For 18 years he served with other Lewiston School Committee members to give children the very best. In past years he served in both the Maine House and the Maine Senate. He served as chairman of Literacy Volunteers Androscoggin, helping those who want to read or read better, and has supported so many other efforts to promote opportunity and fairness in the community.

I would vote for Jim Handy whether we belonged to the same or different political party. He has long contributed his integrity, energy and commitment to making Lewiston and Maine all that it can be.
