Leeds Democrats to meet

LEEDS — Leeds Democrats will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, in the Town Office meeting room on the lower level.

Community Day at Moto-X park

MINOT — Minot’s Community Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, at Hemond’s Moto-X Park, 695 Woodman Hill Road.

The day will feature a bike parade, children’s games, and food and pie-eating contests.

Other attractions will be a bounce house, goats, and scout booths.

RCAM announces annual meeting

LEEDS — Rural Community Action Ministry will hold its annual meeting at the Leeds office at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at 81 Church Hill Road

The meeting is open to the public, and will begin with a light meal.

The organization is also looking for volunteers and board members.

Second Infantry Division reunion

Speaking Up for Us conference

KINGFIELD — Speaking Up for Us of Maine, a statewide self-advocacy organization for people living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, will host its annual statewide conference Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 20 and 21, at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort.

The conference provides nonmembers the opportunity to meet others with disabilities.

This year’s theme is Health and Fitness, and there will be a variety of workshops and events designed to get the heart pumping, the body moving, and the brain learning about living a healthier lifestyle.
