AUBURN — Life Scout Alex Cote of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 007 is seeking donations of hygiene products and nonperishable food items for his Eagle Scout project.

Cote is collecting these items to provide 150 care packages at the VA Maine Homeless Veterans Stand Down in October.

Accepted donations include razors, shaving cream, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, powder, deodorant, Band-Aids, tissues, protein bars, granola bars and other snack items.

Items can be dropped off from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, 4 to 9 p.m. Fridays, and 2 to 6 p.m. Saturdays at the VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave. They may also be dropped off at the spaghetti supper on Oct. 7 in the care of Alex Cote or Jennifer Lane.
